The garden design and the private balconies of the Sandpiper Gulf Resort give this unique resort a warm and friendly atmosphere. This is not another huge high rise building. Sandpiper I has only 2 stories on the poolside and 3 on the beach front set in a lushly landscaped courtyard atmosphere. Sandpiper II with it's own pool and tropical gardens has 5 floors serviced with an elevator. The resort has a total of 63 suites. The Sandpiper Gulf Resort has had the privilage of serving our guests since 1969. We pride ourselves on our large well maintained and modern suites and place a high priority on customer service. The Sandpiper is conveniently located in the quiet center of Fort Myers Beach. Rimmed with the white sand, the island boasts the World's Safest Beach. Within a short walk there are restaurants and a convenience store. A wide range of gift and clothing stores are a few minutes in either direction. A par 3 golf course and tennis courts are only 2 miles to the south. The entire island (7 miles in length) is accessible by walking on the white sandy beach as well as by roadside sidewalk. Trolley service is also available.
